Master of the Magdalen Legend (active between: c. 1483 - c. 1530)
Works of Art

Identified in 1900 as a master active in the southern Netherlands, probably in Brussels, whose work was influenced by Rogier van der Weyden and Bernard van Orley, and named after an altarpiece containing scenes from the life of Mary Magdalen (now dispersed).

He may be identifiable with Pieter von Coninxloo (1481-1513) who worked for Margaret of Austria and the Hapsburg Court, but the ascribed corpus may be the production of more than one factory.
