Works of Art

Born in Florence, where he practised as goldsmith, metal-worker, designer, engraver, painter and sculptor. His painting, in which it seems he was often assisted by his younger brother Piero (1443-96), was much influenced by Castagno and, with his drawings and engravings, shows a careful study of the nude figure. He died in Rome on 4 February 1498.
