Jeanselme (active between: 1824)
Biography
Works of Art

The firm of Jeanselme was set up in 1824 at 7 rue des Deux-Portes by the two Jeanselme brothers, Joseph-Pierre-François (d.1860) and Jean Arnoux (active between 1824-1840). In 1840 Jean-Arnoux left the partnership, which in 1837 had moved to 7 bis rue de Harlay, and Charles-Joseph-Marie, the son of J.-P.-F.Jeanselme, entered into a formal partnership with his father in May 1853. The mark JEANSELME FRERES can thus be dated to 1824-40, while JEANSELME alone belongs to the years 1840-53, after which the firm was styled JEANSELME PERE ET FILS.
