John Webb was an upholsterer, cabinetmaker and dealer who is recorded as having premises at 8 Old Bond Street in the London directories between 1837 and 1852 but who had probably been in business from about 1825. His address is later recorded as 22 Cork Street (1857) and then 11 Grafton Street (1858). He retired in the 1860s to the south of France.
