Painter and gilder, op. 1773 - 1825.
He entered the factory in June 1773, and first received a wage in June 1776 as a gilder on hard-paste. By 1777 he was working as a painter, the records for 1777-9 including flower sprays, roses, monochrome flowers and foliage. In May 1780 he was transferred ‘au déchirage’ (i.e. to the application of blue or other hatching), and in November to the gilders’ workshop. He worked on both hard and soft paste.
He was dismissed in 1800, returned in the same year, left again in 1803, but returned in 1813 or 1815 working until 1825, when he was awarded a pension.
