Painter, op. 1766 - 1779.
Raux first appears on the pay rolls in July 1766. He specialized in flower sprays, bouquets, garlands (sometimes in monochrome), baskets of flowers and floral borders. Some tea bowls and saucers of 1766, with monochrome sprays of flowers and the mark of a circle of dots could be Raux’s earliest known works. He decorated tea, services and useful wares. In 1778 he painted the flowers on a number of pieces from the Catherine II service.
