Gilder and painter, op. 1754 - 1785
He worked at Saint-Cloud before moving to Vincennes in July 1754 as a gilder. By 1768 he also applied enamel colours, and in 1774-9 he appears in the pay rolls as a painter. He also continued work as a gilder. He contributed to the Catherine II service and the toilet service of the comtesse du Nord.
He married Marianne Caron (possibly related to the painter and gilder Christophe-Ferdinand Caron) and one of their sons, Jean-Marie-Robert or Vincent, worked as a painter at the factory from 1778 to 1781.
