  • Falling buffe, similar in form to A195. There is a band of etching down the centre, the upper edge of the upper plate and on the lower edge of the lower plate. The decoration includes foliage and is all on a dotted ground. On the upper plate are two winged mermaids affrontées, terminating in scrolls, much worn. The small hole beside the aperture for the staple is for a hook to lock the buff to the breastplate. A lining-leather runs along the top of the lower plate.
