  • Manifer, a heavy left gauntlet for the joust, made in three solid pieces. The main plate extends in one piece from the knuckles to well up the forearm, completed by a shorter plate on the underside. The main plate is boxed to form four planes, and the single finger-plate is slightly embossed for the thumb and bent in two planes to protect the hand when closed. Decorated with bands and borders of trophies and running foliage etched on a granulated ground, similar to that on Wallace Collection armour A34; brass-headed rivets for the lining bands.

The decoration resembles that on the greaves and sabatons of Wallace Collection armour A34.
