  • Elbow gauntlet, for the right hand, having a tubular cuff prolonged to the elbow to form a vambrace, the edge turned under and roped. Part of the lining band remains, secured by brass-headed rivets. The hand is protected by six metacarpal lames and three knuckle-plates: that in the centre embossed to a straight ridge and roped, the outer plate shaped to the fingers. Scaled fingers and thumb-piece attached by leathers.

    Since this is for the right arm it must have had a pair for the bridle hand.
