  • Spur, of blackened steel encrusted with small flowers in groups of four, lines of spots of silver and traces of fire-gilding on the whole. Sides of oval section, the neck with right-angled bend; star-shaped rowel of five points; three heart shaped lockets for the straps, buckles missing.

The rather coarse silver piqué decoration is frequently found on English hangers of this date (for example no. A718). Compare also the pair of spurs A377.
