  • Horse muzzle, of blackened iron, consisting of a framework filled with light, openwork tracery, the ends of which terminate in finials chiselled into the form of animals’ heads. Across the top are riveted two bands of openwork inscription cut out in Roman capitals:

    SALOMON FV / RCHTE GOTS

    VND HILT SE / IN GEBOT

    (‘Solomon, fear God and keep his commandments’; Ecclesiastes, XII, 13).

    And below on a separate tablet, the date 1557. At the top are three buckles, and at the point at the back of the basket a chain.
