  • Dagger, having a flat pommel-disk of ivory carved with a rosette surrounded by a chain, in low relief; ivory grip of circular section, with vertical grooves, tapering towards the blade; there is no guard.

    Blade of triangular section, flat on one side, with two hollow grooves on the other, etched near the hilt with scrolls and gilt; small ricasso. The hilt may not belong to the blade and may be of later date.

    Blade probably Italian, about 1520; remainder associated, possibly 19th century.
