  • Small knife, of steel, made in one piece. The handle shaped as a column, the capital decorated with acanthus leaves, topped with a vase, chiselled and gilt; the slender, four-sided grip inlaid with two oblong plaques of lapis lazuli; the blade, single-edged and pointed, is etched and gilt near the hilt with laureate ovals on one side and topped by an orb and crown. The bevelled back edge is also ornamented with minute etching, gilt (see also A893).
