  • Cranequin or rack, of heavy construction. Curved iron handle of diamond section with a grip of dark wood slightly carved with bands of ornament; swivel claw; in front between the claws there is a flat triangular plate pivoted at each side; its apex is a pointer to position the claws accurately in the centre of the cord. The case bears a mark consisting of an arc of a circle with an invected outer edge.
