  • The vase is named after its sculpted mytrle branch decoration, twining upwards on the stem to form handles on the sides.
    The intricate dotted 'pointillé' ground was probably applied by Madame Geneviève Taillandier (op. 1774-98), since she specialised in this technique and her husband Vincent (op. 1736-90) also painted the flowers and fruit on this piece.
