  • The large melon-shaped vase with alternate flutes and gadroons, running from the neck to the stem, is a rare model and only one other example (now at Woburn Abbey) is known today.
Decorated with a ‘beau bleu’ blue ground, the gilding includes oak pendants running down some of the gadroons.
The gilt-bronze stand is probably English and from the nineteenth century.
