  • One of a pair of candlesticks (with F27) which are copies of a late-Louis XIV model, but are probably mid-nineteenth-century castings, with poor chasing and electro-gilding. They may have been cast in a workshop producing such bronzes in quantity, since the two candlesticks have been cast from slightly different master models. The original design may be dated to c. 1700, as the pair resembles two silver candlesticks with the Paris date letters for 1690-2 in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
