  • One of a pair (with F153) of two-light candelabra of gilt and patinated bronze and statuary marble. The very plain pedestals suggest a date at the very end of Louis XVI’s reign, or from the Revolution. Similar pairs are known, with running infants, and the pair in the Residenz in Munich is attributed to the bronze founder André-Antoine Ravrio (1759-1814), whose bronze manufactory was visited by Queen Caroline of Bavaria in 1809.
