  • Perhaps 'Monsieur Julliot’, sale, Paris, 1802; citoyen S[c]ellier, marchand, rue de Seine, Paris; bought from him in 1802 by Alexandre Lenoir (1761-1837); by c.1815, William Beckford (1766-1844), Fonthill Abbey; by whom given, c.1822, to his agent, chevalier Gregorio Franchi (1770-1828); his sale, 1827, at which bought by Francis Douce (1757-1834); bequeathed by him to Sir Samuel Rush Meyrick (1783-1848); W.H. Meyrick (d.1865); General Augustus Meyrick (d.1902); sold by him c.1871 to Frédéric Spitzer (1815-1890), Paris; sold by him c.1871-3 to T.M. Whitehead, London; bought by Sir Richard Wallace in 1873 for £600.
