  • This wood carving, a work of astonishing skill on a minute scale, comes from a rosary, a string of beads used to assist the memory when reciting prayers. It contains images of St George slaying the Dragon and St Hubert being converted to Christianity by the sight of a stag bearing a crucifix between its antlers. The carving has been attributed to the workshop of Adam Dirksz (working 1500-30).
