  • This candlestick and its pair (F76) appear to be eighteenth-century castings contemporary with the design, but they have been electro-gilded in the nineteenth century. They bear a general resemblance to the style of J.-A. Meissonnier (1695-1750), perhaps inspired by his design for the candlesticks he designed for the birth of the Dauphin in 1729.
