  • Although this candelabra ('girandole') and its pair (F128) are neo-classical in style, they show the importance of the Louis XIV influence on the evolution of neo-classicism in France. They are of high quality, solidly cast, and precisely chased. They compare with similar two- and three-branched candelabra executed in silver by Robert-Joseph Auguste (1723-1805).
