- The view, which depicts a States yacht and a state barge flying Dutch colours, has not been convincingly identified. The topography may be fanciful, although the same buildings painted from a different angle appear in another work by Storck. It is one of a number of versions of the same view painted by the artist. Two are dated 1664 and 1686 (Glückselig Vienna, 22 November 1927, and Spanish private collection respectively) and two carry the artist’s full signature (Vienna version and Christie’s, London, 11 July 1975).
