  • Sword, the large, semi-swept hilt composed of a heavy cylindrical pommel flattened to diamond section, chiselled on the one side with an imbricated pattern encrusted with silver lines and dots. On the other side is incised a shield charged with two arrows in saltire, and the date 1606, surmounted by a label bearing the inscription:

    . IOREI . SVBER .

    Long grip bound with wire and diagonally fluted; quillons of oval section with lobated ends, boldly recurved up and down; double side-rings; hilt-arms joined by a loop to the shortened knuckle-guard, and plain transverse bars at the back, the whole of the outer side decorated like the pommel. Long associated blade of flattened hexagonal section stamped on each side with two crosses on the forte, the ricasso incised with lines and circles.
