  • A mid-nineteenth-century mirror that, on the basis of the style and the carved busts, appears to be either Genoese or Venetian. It is oil-gilt and the bevelled nineteenth-century glass is probably original to the frame. It was probably the 'oval mirror' listed in Lady Wallace's Boudoir inventories of 1890 and 1898, although the frame was mistaken for gilt bronze.
