  • A weak pastiche of Calraet’s style, Boy holding a Horse derives from Cuyp’s Cavalry Trooper (Royal Collection) and Horse in a Landscape (Rotterdam, Boijmans van Beuningen Museum). A closely related composition attributed to Calraet is in the National Gallery, London, and other versions have appeared in sales, attributed to Cuyp but again probably by Calraet.
