  • The Capilla Real, built in 1506-17, is on the south side of Granada Cathedral. It contains several tombs, including those of Ferdinand and Isabella, the ‘Catholic Kings’ who reconquered Granada from the Moors in 1481-92. Roberts, an enthusiastic traveller, was in Spain between December 1832 and August 1833, including three weeks in Granada.
