- A preparatory sketch, much more broadly painted than the finished work, for the picture exhibited at the Paris Salon of 1824 (now Rouen, Musée des Beaux-Arts). See also Delaroche, 'Joan of Arc in Prison', P300. This is one of the few sketches acquired by the 4th Marquess of Hertford who usually preferred to buy finished works.
