  • This picture is one of a series of copies that Teniers was commissioned to make for engravings to illustrate the Archduke Leopold Wilhelm’s collection of paintings (also see P636). This example is a copy after an unfinished original in Vienna by Titian. It previously belonged to Joseph Bonaparte, King of Spain, and to Anatole Demidoff, Prince of San Donato.
